The Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park mission is to help conserve and enhance the wildlife and other resources on the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and to expand public interest in the heritage of the natural environment it represents.

To provide consistency and guidance for the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members.

Goal 2: Fundraising
To raise funds to implement our mission to help conserve and enhance the wildlife and other resources of the Park and to expand public interest.

Goal 3: Public Awareness
To increase public awareness and appreciation in the Park and its natural resources through outreach education activities.
- Recruit and train a minimum of ten new outreach volunteers
- Evaluate outreach programs through surveys of participants
- Train a specific person to handle marketing of special programs
- Recruit and train volunteers to perform outreach programs in the Park with roving interpretation
- Conduct Wildlife Week in the Park Summer Camp

- Produce a Quarterly Newsletter
- Welcome Visitors to the Park
- Present Christmas Celebration of Lights
- Sponsor Arts & Crafts Festival and conduct First Light Delight Cruises
- Conduct Wildlife Week in the Park, a summer program for children
- Present Wildlife Outreach Programs
