Children's Education Center Project |
The Children’s Education Center has many interesting and educational displays for children as well as adults. A beautiful living coral display, we have native turtles and frogs on display as well as invasive, exotic species and a complete manatee skeleton, articulated by John Bogue.
Buddy Powell, a biologist who works with USFWS and FWC and tracks manatees has set up a new tracking station in the CEC, and maybe in the future, other species such as Florida Panthers. We will also add Dr. Grossmans hydrophone link which has live monitoring of manatee vocalizations from the spring run.
